FORT DRUM — The Initial Development Program has reached the halfway point, with 450 homes completed and occupied.

Fort Drum Mountain Community Homes is in the first phase of its on-post development project, which includes 845 houses. All of those homes are expected to be completed in early 2009.

The organization also is more than 80 percent finished with renovations to all existing homes on post.

The project allows Mountain Community Homes to offer new or renovated homes on post to families of all ranks.
