HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE

Rachel Schneeberger scored six goals and assisted on two others as Watertown crushed visiting Heuvelton by 18-1 in a nonleague girls lacrosse season-opener Tuesday at Watertown High School.

Taylor Nims tallied three goals, while Kathleen Bacsik and Taylor Hughes each netted a pair apiece for the Cyclones.

Alexa Stowe scored for the Bulldogs.

■ In the boys game, Brett McAuliffe accounted for two goals and three assists as the Cyclones picked up the season-opening victory with a 9-3 nonleague win over visiting Heuvelton.

Travis McGraw supplied two goals and one assist, and goalie Wilson Mukrdechian stopped eight shots.
