NORTH LAWRENCE — Jeremy W. "Jerry" Griffin, 44, Desmond Street, died of coronary thrombosis Tuesday at Massena Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Griffin worked at United Cerebral Palsy, Canton, and previously at North Lawrence Supermarket and Blevins Motors, Potsdam.

Born Dec. 1, 1963, in Potsdam, son of Gordon P. and Louella Cook Griffin, he graduated in 1982 from St. Lawrence High School, Brasher Falls.

He was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church and a past member of the Sons of the American Legion in Winthrop. He enjoyed computers, furniture refinishing and architectural drafting.

Surviving besides his mother, of North Lawrence, are two brothers and their wives, Kim and Sharon, Shortsville, and Guy and Janet, Brasher Falls; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

His father died June 21, 1990. A sister, Sheila M. Coleman, died March 10, 2005.

A funeral Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Church with the Rev. Patrick A. Ratigan officiating.

Burial will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Hammill Funeral Home, Winthrop.
