EDWARDS — A graveside service for Romona N. Klock, 57, Edwards, will be at 10 a.m. today in Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Wilfred J. Baez, pastor of Gouverneur United Methodist Church, officiating.
Mrs. Klock was declared dead Monday afternoon after her body was found in the Oswegatchie River.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
Mrs. Klock worked for several years on the family farm and also at Edgewood Resort, Alexandria Bay.
Born April 11, 1951, in Gouverneur, daughter of Everett and Nancy Forbes Goodale, she graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1969.
She married Morton L. Klock Sr. on May 22, 1970, in Gouverneur United Methodist Church with the Rev. Stanley E. Brown officiating. The couple lived in Edwards for more than 35 years.
Mrs. Klock enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
Surviving besides her husband and her mother, of Russell, are two sons and their wives, Morton Jr. and Melissa and Kenneth and Stacy, all of Edwards; a daughter and her husband, Kelly and Dustin Ashley, Pierrepont; two brothers and their wives, Gerald and Patti Goodale, Theresa, and Daniel and Tammy Goodale, Gouverneur; two sisters and their husbands, Roselyn and Richard Briggs, Russell, and Roxanna and Weldon, DeKalb, seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her father, two brothers, Howard Goodale and Everett Floyd Goodale, and a half-brother, Harvey Forbes, died before her.
