POTSDAM — The funeral for Carl T. Chase, 54, of 6941 Route 56, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Buck Funeral Home, Norwood with Monsignor Harry K. Snow, pastor of St. Andrew's Church in Norwood, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Norwood.

Mr. Chase died Thursday morning at Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt. He had been ill with Large B cell non-Hodgkins Lymphoma cancer.

Calling hours will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He worked at SUNY Potsdam for more than 13 years as a cleaner.

He was a member and cruising director for the Massena Olde Car Club, a member of the Olde Car Club of Malone, and enjoyed old cars and motorcycles, hunting and fishing and his cat.

Born May 6, 1953, in Massena, son of Arthur W. and Blanche Blair Chase, he graduated from Potsdam Central School in 1973.

He married Lyla L. Ruff on July 1, 1978.

Surviving besides his wife are a half brother, Ronald Earle, Potsdam; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A sister, Sharon Chase, died at the age of 3, and a half sister, June Hamilton, also died before him.
