SANDY CREEK — Hazel I. Brennan, 81, formerly of Sandy Creek, died Thursday at Oswego Hospital.

Mrs. Brennan was a homemaker.

Born June 25, 1926, in Watertown, daughter of John and Clara Burdick Kiblin, she married George J. Brennan on Sept. 23, 1954, in Lacona. The couple lived in Orwell, Lacona, Sandy Creek and Pulaski. Mr. Brennan died May 28, 1986. Mrs. Brennan had resided at Maple Manor Home for Adults in Richland until becoming a resident of Sunrise Nursing Home in Oswego in 2002.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Battles, Parish, and Marilyn Brennan, Pulaski; three sons and a daughter-in-law, George Jr., Pulaski, James, Lacona, and Randy and Melissa, Sandy Creek; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Four sisters died before her.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Summerville Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
