Carthage man accused

of breaking dishes, door

CARTHAGE — Mark D. Schermerhorn Jr., 31, of 39302 Route 126, was charged by state police at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief.

It is alleged he broke dishes and an interior door during a domestic dispute with his father.

Massena teen charged

with stealing DVD at mall

MASSENA — Joshua D. O'Donnell, 17, of 131 Main St., was charged Tuesday by state police with stealing a DVD.

Mr. O'Donnell was charged with petit larceny after he hid a DVD under his shirt at the FYE entertainment store at St. Lawrence Centre mall, troopers said. He is to answer the charge in Town Court.

Watertown teen faces

criminal mischief charge

A Watertown teenager was charged Tuesday by city police with fourth-degree criminal mischief for allegedly damaging merchandise on display at a Washington Street business.

Kyle A. Williams, 17, of 709 W. Main St., Apt. A, was charged at 2:41 p.m. after he allegedly flipped over a table at Stratton Hardware, 1336 Washington St. The upending caused slate tiles to break off the top of the table, which was part of a set valued at $100.

He was issued an appearance ticket for City Court.
