STAR program:Applications accepted by Jefferson Community College for its Strategies To Achieve Results (STAR) program, designed to provide academic support and assistance for JCC students who meet certain eligibility criteria relating to disability or income or who are 'first-generation,' meaning neither parent nor guardian has earned a bachelor's degree. Services include math tutoring, English skills classes, academic counseling, career exploration, computer-learning labs, workshops on test-taking, study habits, time management and organizational skills, and much more.
