Misra launches Potsdam in triple OT
GIRLS LACROSSE: Player scores winner, three other goals to boost Sandstoners

MASSENA — Kanika Misra scored the game-winning goal in the third overtime to give Potsdam a 17-16 Northern Athletic Conference girls lacrosse win over Massena on Tuesday.

Misra finished with four goals, and Ginette Cornett had five goals and one assist for the Sandstoners (4-7 overall, 3-7 league).

Kiley Buckshot scored six goals, while Anna Riley added three goals and an assist for Massena (2-11, 2-18).

INDIAN RIVER 16, HEUVELTON 10 (OT)

Indian River scored four goals in overtime to earn a nonleague win in Heuvelton.

Teddi Filiatrault scored four times to lead Indian River (2-11).

Emily Bush paced Heuvelton (5-8) with seven goals and two assists, and Alexa Stowe supplied two goals.

BOYS LACROSSE

ST. LAWRENCE 10, HEUVELTON 9

Jack Keenan scored three goals and assisted on two others to lead the Larries to a league win in Heuvelton.

Connor McCuinn made 13 saves for St. Lawrence (7-6, 6-5).

Francis Sharpe had three goals to lead the Bulldogs (1-14, 1-9), who scored two goals in the final two minutes.

SALMON RIVER 20, CANTON 11

Ty Thompson tallied six goals and one assist to lead the Shamrocks in a league game in Fort Covington.

Miles Thompson and Seth Oakes each supplied four goals for Salmon River (10-0).

Sam Bradman paced Canton (9-4, 8-3) with six goals and an assist.

SARANAC LAKE 9, POTSDAM 7

Austin McDonough and Lee Freeburg each scored a pair of goals to lead the Red Storm past the Sandstoners in a league game in Saranac Lake.

Mike Sapone added one goal and two assists for Saranac Lake (6-4, 4-4).

Corey Bercume, Peter Tardelli and Taylor Caswell led Potsdam (9-3, 8-2) with two goals each.

MASSENA 11, NORTHWOOD PREP 6

The Red Raiders (5-7) used three goals from Josh Centrella to propel them to a nonleague win in Lake Placid. Patrick Bulger added two goals and an assist.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

MALONE 194, POTSDAM 124

Jessica Farmer finished first in four events to lead the Huskies (7-0) in a Northern Athletic Conference meet in Malone. Farmer claimed the 100, 200, 400 and long jump.

Amanda Gadway added wins in the shot put and discus for Malone. Kaila Maguire led Potsdam (4-1) with wins in the 1,500 and 3,000.

SALMON RIVER 157, CANTON 133

Erica Francis won the triple jump and high jump to lead the Shamrocks (1-2) past Canton in an NAC meet in Fort Covington.

Miranda Corbine won the shot put and discus for the Golden Bears.

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 1861/2,

MASSENA 1261/2

Emily Cotey won the 800, 1,500 and 3,000 to lead the Flyers (3-2) in an NAC meet in Norwood.

Colleen Cotey won the high jump and 400 hurdles, and Cassie Casey added wins in the shot put and discus for Norwood-Norfolk.

Katie Behrens led Massena (0-3) with wins in the 100, long jump and 400.

INDIAN RIVER WINS TWICE

Geneen Dore's victory in the triple jump allowed Indian River to edge host South Jefferson, 71-70, and defeat Lowville, 98-42, in a key Frontier League tri-meet.

Dore also won the 100- and 200-meter dashes for the Warriors (9-0), who moved into sole possession of first place in the "A" Division.

Leanna Poirier claimed the shot put and discus as the Spartans (7-1) dropped Lowville (3-3), 110-31.
