Salmon River posts win over IHC
BOYS LACROSSE: Thompson, Oakes help Shamrocks remain unbeaten
SATURDAY, MAY 17, 2008

CANTON — Salmon River came from behind to win a nonleague boys lacrosse game, 22-10 over Immaculate Heart Central on Friday at SUNY Canton.

Miles Thompson had six goals and three assists, while Seth Oakes contributed five goals for the Shamrocks (12-0).

Colin Caldwell paced IHC (8-7) with three goals and two assists. Tyler Prevost added a goal and three assists.

GIRLS LACROSSE

WATERTOWN 11,

IMMACULATE HEART 8

Rachel Schneeberger accounted for four goals and one assist as the Cyclones earned a Frontier League victory at Watertown High School.

Taylor Nims pitched in with three goals and two assists, while Kathleen Bacsik added three goals, and goalie Rachel Fazio turned away 10 shots for Watertown (15-1 overall, 8-1 league).

Angela Vespa connected for three goals, while Elysa Doldo and Brittany Koelmel added two goals apiece for IHC (6-8, 4-4).

SOUTH JEFFERSON 15, HEUVELTON 4

Alyssa Scordo's three goals and two assists fueled the Spartans' nonleague victory at Heuvelton.

Maria Behling had three goals and an assist. Carly VanTassel tacked on two goals and assisted on two others for South Jefferson (8-7).

Emily Bush led the Bulldogs (6-8) with three goals.

INDIAN RIVER 16, OFA 9

Alissa Olsen tallied four goals and five assists to lead the Warriors past the Blue Devils in a nonleague game at Philadelphia.

Teddi Filiatrault added four goals and two assists, Whitney Boshart registered three goals and an assist, and Kayleigh Pearson scored three goals for Indian River (3-11).

Aubrey Badlam and Amanda Woods had three goals apiece for Ogdensburg Free Academy (6-7).
