Michael P. Oot, a candidate for the 23rd Congressional District seat, is expected to be endorsed June 2 by the Jefferson County Democratic Committee.

Mr. Oot, a Madison County attorney, was unanimously recommended for endorsement by the county party's 19-member executive committee. Danny M. Francis, Watertown, had also sought the county committee's endorsement.

Both men are vying for a position now held by Rep. John M. McHugh, R-Pierrepont Manor.
