State Sen. Joseph A. Griffo on Tuesday announced that he is seeking a second term in the 47th District.

"Two years ago, I pledged that I would bring a nonstop effort to Albany that would achieve results, promote reform, secure relief and develop respect," Sen. Griffo, R-Rome, said in a statement. "I have supported spending limits, fought for school aid and also for accountability in spending it and proposed and supported critical public safety legislation to protect our communities. Now, I want to do even more to fight for Central New York and the north country."

The 47th Senate District includes all of Lewis County, the eastern part of St. Lawrence County and most of Oneida County.
