State DEC releases plan for 46-Corners State Forest

The state Department of Conservation has released a plan for 46-Corners State Forest in Oneida, Oswego and Lewis counties. The plan includes new wildlife viewing platforms, universally accessible fishing piers, a timber harvest schedule, campsites, cross-country ski trail and snowmobile parking lot.

The public may comment on the draft plan at 6 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Camden High School cafeteria at Route 13 and Florence Hill Road in Camden, Oneida County.

The draft plan is available for review at DEC offices in the region. The draft plan soon will be available on DEC's Unit Management Plan web page at www.dec.ny.gov/lands/4979.
