The St. Lawrence Valley Trailblazers have withdrawn their protest of a 35-6 loss to Troy in a Northeastern Football Alliance game last Saturday.
The protest came as a result of Fighting Irish head coach Frank Van Skiver violating a previous suspension when he appeared on the field during halftime.
Van Skiver's actions earned him an additional 3-game suspension, said Trailblazers head coach Mike Britton. Two Troy players who were ejected from last Saturday's game were suspended for one game.
Britton said the league's actions were enough for him to withdraw his protest. St. Lawrence Valley remains 1-2 overall, and the Fighting Irish stay at 2-1 on the season.
