Display in Croghan is part of Mennonite celebration

CROGHAN — Handmade items from past generations are on display as part of the 175th anniversary celebration of Mennonites in Lewis County.

Displays are open from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 1 to 4, 6 to 7 and 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at Croghan Mennonite Church on Kirschnerville Road.

Paul Zehr, a Lewis County native and resident of Lancaster, Pa., will speak on "Anabaptism Today" from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the church, while an a cappella hymn sing will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Other special programs in the 175th anniversary celebration also are planned for September and October.
