MORRISTOWN — Town, village and school representatives looking to cut taxes by sharing services are sponsoring a residential phone survey. Questions will address services, cooperation and taxes.
The survey, which is being conducted by a SUNY Binghamton research group, will begin soon. Committee members reviewed questions at a public hearing Monday.
Public feedback will be included in a report that will be presented to the Town Council, village Board of Trustees and Morristown Central School District Board of Education. The state is contributing $54,000 toward the research and report, and the entities are each paying $2,000.
