LOWVILLE — A Boonville man charged with having sexual contact with two girls under age 11 was sentenced Friday in Lewis County Court to six months in county jail and 10 years' probation.
Nathan D. Weiler, 23, additionally was charged $1,370 in court fees and registered as a Level 1 sex offender on two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, to which he pleaded guilty June 6. County Judge Charles C. Merrell issued eight-year orders of protection on the victims' behalf.
Weiler was charged with having sexual contact with the girls between September 2006 and June 2007 in the town of Leyden.

Randy R. Grimmer Jr., 26, address listed as Lewis County jail, was arraigned on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing a hypodermic needle, endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree promoting prison contraband. He subsequently pleaded guilty to the criminal possession and endangerment charges, satisfying the rest. Sentencing was set for Oct. 3.
Mr. Grimmer was charged Oct. 31, 2007, with possessing cocaine and a hypodermic needle in the village of Lowville. He also was charged Dec. 12, 2007, with being under the influence of prescription medications and other drugs in the presence of two children and providing them with filthy living conditions in the village of Croghan. And, on May 25, he was charged with possessing a bag of tobacco and a rolled cigarette while an inmate at Lewis County jail.
Timothy S. Brigham, 35, of 5432 Bostwick St., Lowville, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, also satisfying a speeding charge. Sentencing was set for Oct. 31. Mr. Brigham was stopped June 8 on Route 12 in the town of Turin.
Robert D. Grimm, 19, of 7308 Moose River Road, Port Leyden, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal mischief. Sentencing was set for Aug. 22. Mr. Grimm was charged March 14 with helping to cause $5,275.36 worth of damage to air-conditioning units at Lewis Lanes on North State Street in Lowville.
Richard J. Cronce, 41, Route 3, Watertown, was arraigned on charges of felony aggravated DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to dim headlights, and pleaded innocent. His case was adjourned to Aug. 22. Mr. Cronce was stopped June 21 on Pine Grove Road in the town of Greig.
Kimberly S. Bellinger, 44, of 3527 Route 177, Lowville, was arraigned on charges of felony aggravated DWI and having an inadequate taillight and pleaded innocent. His case was adjourned to Sept. 19. Mr. Bellinger was stopped June 24 on Route 177 in the town of Lowville.
Jeremy J. Lee, 21, of 6561 Hodge Road, Lowville, was arraigned on a charge of second-degree promoting prison contraband and pleaded innocent. His case was adjourned to Sept. 19. Mr. Lee was charged Aug. 1 with possessing a cell phone and charger while an inmate at Lewis County jail.
Joshua S. Alexander, 24, of 9893 Route 12, Copenhagen, was arraigned on charges of third-degree burglary and petit larceny and pleaded innocent. His case was adjourned to Oct. 3. Mr. Alexander was charged May 23 with breaking into a building owned by Fred Snyder on Kelsey Road in the town of Harrisburg, and stealing unspecified farm equipment.
