Man indicted on charges of pulling knife on police

CANTON — Adrian J. Gaumes, 31, of 13 Grant St., Edwards, was indicted Tuesday by a St. Lawrence County grand jury on charges of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and menacing a police officer, both felonies, and resisting arrest.

He is accused of taking out a knife July 1, saying that "cops are a waste of skin" to Troopers Roger Riutta and Robert Klimowicz. He had to be subdued by troopers.

The grand jury also returned a sealed indictment against one person.
