LOWVILLE — A fatal hit-and-run accident late Wednesday prompted state police to put out an alert Thursday morning for an Oneida County man.
Police tentatively identified the pedestrian who was killed in the 11:20 p.m. accident on Osceola Road in the town of Lewis as Debra J. Royce, 54, Holland Patent.
Being sought as a "person of interest" was Royce E. Beck, 41, Ava. Police said the vehicle has been found and is being examined.
