LOWVILLE — A diabetes awareness day will be held next month at Lowville Academy and Central School.

The public event, being organized by Lewis County General Hospital, Lewis County Public Health and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Lewis County, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 29.

A roundtable discussion is scheduled with Dr. Richard Matarese, nephrologist; Dr. Debra Koloms, ophthalmologist; Dr. Mark Schug, podiatrist, and Dr. Claudia Fish, endocrinologist. There also will be giveaways from supporting vendors.
