Powell powers Rattlers in MLL championship

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Former Carthage player Casey Powell contributed three assists to lift the Rochester Rattlers over the Denver Outlaws, 16-6, in the Major League Lacrosse Championship game Sunday at Harvard Stadium.
Joe Walters led the Rattlers with six goals, John Grant Jr. added four goals and one assist and Joe Walters had two goals and two assists in the win.
Casey's brother, and fellow West Carthage native, Ryan Powell, led all scorers for Denver with a goal and two assists.
