OFA blanks Lisbon to claim own tournament

OGDENSBURG — The Blue Devils captured the Ogdensburg Free Academy tournament championship with a 2-0 boys soccer victory over Lisbon on Thursday.

Dave Crowder scored a goal in each half for OFA. The first came in the 20th minute off a feed from Ryan Frary. Ethan Ladouceur assisted on the second goal midway through the second half. Brendan Merna made 11 saves for the Blue Devils (2-0 overall).

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 2, HAMMOND 1

Nick Clark scored from the right wing in the 29th minute of the second half to lift the Flyers past the Red Devils in the consolation game of the OFA Tournament.

Jake Ladouceur scored the first goal just two minutes into the game. Pat Durant made 12 saves for Norwood-Norfolk (1-1).

Chuck Clemons scored an unassisted goal for Hammond.

AUSABLE VALLEY 2, MASSENA 1

Ricky Lee scored the game-winner in the 27th minute to help AuSable Valley defeat Massena in the consolation game of the Northeastern Clinton tournament.

Lee also assisted on the other goal. Nick Pichette scored the only goal for Massena.

PLATTSBURGH 2, CANTON 0

Plattsburgh scored both its goals in the second half to down Canton in the first round of the Chazy tournament. Kyle Kirk scored first off an assist from Kyle Knight in the ninth minute. Michael Bennett netted the second ten minutes later.
