The Children's Home of Jefferson County's Resource Parent Program will hold an informational meeting on foster parenting at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The meeting will be in the Marcy Building's third-floor conference room, 167 Polk St. Anyone interested in attending should call Flora Wilson, director of the CHJC Resource Parent Program, at 779-1507.

Criteria for becoming a resource parent, as well as the benefits and resources available through the program, will be discussed. A 10-week training class begins Sept. 11 for those who decide to become a foster family.
