There was an article in the Watertown Daily Times: "Lyme fire departments ask town for more help" by Jaegun Lee on Aug. 14. He reported that, "The two fire departments in the town of Lyme are suffering from a lack of funds and asked for the town's help at a council meeting Wednesday."

Also, in a recent edition of the Watertown Daily Times, there was a photo taken by Colleen White with the caption: "David H. Ortleib, a 30-year member of the Martinsburg Fire Department, climbs into 'one' of the new trucks purchased for the department with proceeds from wind power in the town."

It seems to me that the town of Lyme, the Chaumont and Three Mile Bay fire departments could win with wind. We had a chance to help our community with the aid from wind farm developers, but our town board blew it.
