CANTON — The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team scored three goals in the second half, including two in the final three minutes, to pick up a 3-2 victory over Wilkes College in the Lotto Classic on Sunday.

SLU, which went 2-0 on the weekend, claimed the tournament title.

Elena Rogers, named Liberty League rookie of the week on Monday, scored the game-winner with just 55 seconds remaining after teammate Nicky Hynes tied the game with 2:31 left.

Wilkes (1-1) scored goals in the first half on shots from Jessica Gannon and Julissa Reed. SLU cut the lead to one goal by scoring 47 seconds into the second half on a shot from Becca Townsend.

FREDONIA 4, CLARKSON 1

Lauren Heilwel supplied two goals and one assist to lead Fredonia past the Golden Knights in the other Lotto Classic game at SLU.

Julie LaPolla and Laura Hartung also scored for Fredonia (1-1). Karen Streeter scored the only goal for Clarkson.

SUNY POTSDAM 2, WELLS 0

Lacey Malbeuf provided both goals as the Bears won their opener at SUNY Potsdam. The Bears outshot Wells 16-1.

MEN'S SOCCER

SUNY POTSDAM 1, WELLS 1

Corey Fischer scored in the 87th minute to give Wells a tie with the Bears in a SUNY Potsdam Tournament game.

James Edsall scored the only goal for the Bears in the 80th minute.

SUNY CANTON 0, CAZENOVIA 0

Eamon Case stopped five shots to pick up a shutout for the Kangaroos (0-1-1) in the other SUNY Potsdam Tournament game. Ryan Snyder made two saves for Cazenovia (0-1-1).

FIELD HOCKEY

SUNY ONEONTA 3, ST. LAWRENCE 0

Erika Dombkowski stopped nine shots to lead the Red Dragons past SLU (1-1) in the championship game of the SUNY Oneonta Tournament. Somer Shuffield had one goal and one assist for SUNY Oneonta.

Andrea Van Dyke and Cassandra O'Mara also scored for the Red Dragons.
