10 people cited with drunken driving

An Evans Mills woman was jailed Friday morning under $10,000 bail after being arrested by state police on a charge of driving while intoxicated and five other traffic counts.

Marie E. Grose, 48, of 28435 Fox Hollow Run, formerly of Texas, was arrested at 2:50 a.m. Friday at Route 37 and County Route 18 in the town of Theresa. Troopers additionally charged her with refusal to submit to a breath test, failure to keep right, driving on the shoulder, making an improper turn and driving without a license.

She was sent to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown, by Alexandria Town Justice Sherry L. Pennington.

Also charged with DWI and related offenses:

■ Nathan A. Gould, 27, County Route 76, Adams Center, was arrested Wednesday on his second DWI charge this year. Jefferson County sheriff's deputies charged Mr. Gould at 12:20 a.m. on Route 3 in the town of Watertown. He also is charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana, violating restrictions on his license, operating a vehicle having revoked registration, operating an uninspected auto, having loud exhaust and having a defective plate light.

His breath test reading was listed at 0.11 percent blood alcohol content. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for intoxication.

Deputies said his license is suspended pending prosecution on an aggravated DWI charge cited June 8 on Route 37 in the town of Alexandria. On that occasion, police said he tested at 0.27 percent BAC. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.

■ James D. Johnson, 25, of 552 LeRay St., Apt. 6, Watertown, additionally was cited by Watertown police with speeding at 47 mph in a 30-mph speed zone and driving without a license at 3 a.m. Friday in the 200 block of Arlington Street. His test reading was 0.15 percent BAC, police said. Mr. Johnson is serving parole, having been discharged from prison March 13 after serving a portion of a 21/2-year sentence given him in April 2007 for attempted third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

■ Danny A. Patchen, 45, Route 125, Chaumont, was arrested at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday by Jefferson County sheriff's deputies on charges of aggravated DWI and failure to keep right on Ransom Road in the town of Brownville. He tested at 0.20 percent BAC, according to the sheriff's office. Mr. Patchen had DWI convictions in 1991 and 1985.

■ Justin C. Curtis, 27, of 737 Gotham St., Watertown, was charged by state police shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 81 in the town of Pamelia, where he additionally was cited with speeding at 93 mph, failure to signal a lane change and depositing refuse on the highway, a can. He tested at 0.17 percent BAC, police said.

■ Meghan A. Cichy, 28, Sunderland, Mass., was arrested by state police at Oswego County routes 15 and 62 in the town of Sandy Creek at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, and additionally is cited with a stop sign infraction. After she refused to take a breath test, she was placed in Oswego County jail, Oswego, with bail set at $600.

■ Tina M. Delaney, 34, of 129 William St., Watertown, was arrested by state police at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 26 in the town of Alexandria, while troopers were investigating a trespassing complaint. She had a test reading of 0.10 percent BAC, police said.

■ Timothy J. Harding, 44, Lacona, is charged with felony DWI and failure to keep right after being arrested by Oswego County sheriff's deputies at 11:30 p.m. Thursday on Route 11 in the town of Sandy Creek. He was sent under $1,000 bail to Oswego County jail.

■ Dustin R. Nichols, 22, Sodus, was charged Aug. 30 with DWI and failure to turn as required after being stopped on Market Street in Potsdam, village police said. His blood alcohol content was 0.17 percent, police said.

■ Angela J. Lockwood, 37, Scriba, was arrested in a parking lot on Rome Road in Pulaski by state police at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday. She tested at 0.14 percent BAC, troopers said.
