There are few primaries Tuesday in St. Lawrence County.

Eight Colton Democrats are running for four slots on the party's county committee. Roger J. Dusharm, Joan M. Kilroy, J. Christine Murphy and Sally M. Seymour are vying for the two seats representing Committee District 1. Dennis E. Eickhoff, Alfred J. Gotsch, Mary F. McKinley and Daniel C. McNamara are running for two seats representing District 2.

Republicans Grace J. Hawley, Peggy L. Mousaw, Ronald G. Robert and Reginald Stowe are competing for two spots representing Colton's District 1 on the county committee. Nancy A. Shea, Marion S. Thomas, Richard F. Wood and Edwin C. Wright are vying for the pair of seats representing District 2.

There is a four-way race for two spots representing Madrid on the Democratic county committee. Competing for those seats are Judy A. Hargrave, Donald R. McCall, Heather McCuin and William Trombley.

Clifton has the only non-committee race. Christopher Backus and Kelly J. Smith are competing for the Republican line in the race for town highway superintendent.
