MADRID — Nolan Fletcher made his first start as a goalie a memorable one, stopping all five shots he faced to lead the Lisbon boys soccer team to a 2-0 win over Heuvelton in a semifinal game of the Dan Rose Memorial Tournament Friday.
Lisbon (3-2) will play Madrid-Waddington in the championship game at noon today. Clifton-Fine will play Heuvelton (0-3) in the consolation game at the same time.

Nick Pichette scored two goals to lead the Red Raiders past Salmon River (1-1) in a semifinal game of the Massena Tournament.

Clay Allen also scored for the Red Raiders, and Tom Ward made six saves for the shutout.

Gouverneur will play Harrisville in the championship game at noon today. The Cougars will play Norwood-Norfolk at the same time in the consolation game.
Nicholas Cotton-Baez also scored for Gouverneur, while Jon Corbine scored for the Cougars.

Kelsey Rimmer won two individual events and was part of a winning 400-yard freestyle relay to lead Potsdam past the Red Raiders in a season-opening Northern Athletic Conference meet in Massena.
Rimmer also won the 200 and 500 freestyles for Potsdam. Serenity Davis, who also swam on the winning relay, added wins in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.
Aubrey Czajkowski led the Red Raiders with wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle and swam on a winning 200 medley relay.

Taylor McAdoo and Kayla Gerlach each won two individual events to lead the Golden Bears past Salmon River in an NAC meet at SUNY Potsdam. McAdoo won the 200 and 500 freestyles, and Gerlach won the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle for Canton.

Laura Stone, Emily Smith and Natalie Brand won two events apiece to lead the Huskies past Edwards-Knox in an NAC meet in Malone. Stone won the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, Smith took the 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle, and Brand added wins in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
