SYRACUSE — The Syracuse University football team's matchup Oct. 11 at West Virginia will kick off at noon and will be televised on ESPNU.

The Orange (1-4 overall, 0-1 conference) is off this week and will need the extra time to prepare for the Mountaineers (2-2). It will be SU's first road game since losing its season opener at Northwestern on Aug. 30. West Virginia smashed Syracuse, 55-14, at the Carrier Dome last season.

■ Orange sophomore cornerback Michael Holmes was selected for the Big East's weekly honor roll. He had seven kickoffs for 207 return yards, including a 90-yard touchdown return, in Saturday's 34-24 loss to Pittsburgh. He also contributed five tackles.
