CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Molly Schaus stopped all 26 shots she faced to lead the Boston College women's hockey team to a 2-0 win over Clarkson University in a nonconference, season-opening game for both teams Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles picked up both of their goals in the second period. Kelli Stack scored at 3 minutes, 23 seconds, and Danielle Welch added another goal at 15:16.
Lauren Dahm made 23 saves for the Golden Knights.

Brendan Gorman scored off assists from Paul LaMarca and James Stewart in the 102nd minute to give the Saints an overtime win over rival Clarkson in a Liberty League game in Potsdam.
Kiel Dwyer and James Stewart also scored goals for St. Lawrence University (7-4, 2-1).
Scott Desmond and Brian Buckner scored for the Golden Knights (5-5-1, 0-3).

Andrew Schwert scored one goal and added one assist to lead the Red Dragons past SUNY Potsdam (4-7-2, 0-4) in a SUNYAC contest in Cortland.

Prince Sabatto and Bismark Ansah scored two goals to lead SUNY Canton (4-4-2, 4-1-1) to a Sunrise Conference win at Fisher College.

SAINTS WIN TITLES
Tupper Lake native Wendy Pavlus was the winner in the women's race, and Daniel Ramsey won the men's race to lead the St. Lawrence University women's and men's teams to titles at the Liberty League championship meet in Canton.
Pavlus ran the 6-kilometer course in 22 minutes, 28 seconds for SLU. Ramsey finished the 8-kilometer course in 25:41.
SLU's women finished with 21 points, and Vassar was second with 51. Clarkson was sixth with 154. SLU's men finished with 22 points, and Rensselaer was second with 56. Clarkson was fourth with 118.
FORTH LEADS KANGAROOS
Justin Forth finished in 113th place to lead an incomplete SUNY Canton team at the SUNY Geneseo Invitational. Byron Danis came in 140th, and Ben Villani was 208th for SUNY Canton.

Jenna Stock had 24 assists in the first match and seven kills in the second for Clarkson (10-13), but the Golden Knights dropped two matches in the second day of the Stevens Invitational at Hoboken, N.J.
Clarkson lost its opening match to St. Mary's (Maryland) 19-25, 26-28, 25-7, 25-14, 15-8 and was swept 25-22, 25-21, 25-18 by Montclair State.

St. Lawrence University's top singles player, Jon Satkowski, was eliminated in the second around of the ITA Championships in Willingboro, N.J., losing 6-4, 6-3 to Vassar's Mike Mattelson.
