A Lewis County man serving state prison time for a sexual-offense conviction there was sentenced Friday in Jefferson County Court to five years' imprisonment for a sexual crime that occurred in Carthage.
Robert L. Western,33, of 5487 Water St., Lowville, also will have to undergo five additional years of supervision upon his release from prison for a June 17 guilty plea to first-degree sexual abuse. He was accused of having sexual contact with a 6-year-old girl between June 22 and Aug. 12, 2006, in Carthage.
His Jefferson County prison sentence will be served concurrently with a 121/2-year sentence imposed Sept. 12 in Lewis County for a guilty plea in May to first-degree criminal sexual act. He was charged in December with having inappropriate sexual contact with an 8-year-old girl in Lowville.

David Monahan,53, North Tonawanda, was sentenced to six months in the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, was ordered to serve five years' probation, was fined $2,500 and had his driver's license revoked for a July 28 guilty plea to felony driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was accused of drunken driving April 10 on Route 11 in LeRay while his license was revoked.
Robert J. McDermott,40, Chaumont, admitted violating probation and was resentenced to nine months in the PSB with credit for time served. He was sentenced in March 2007 to five years' probation for a January 2007 guilty plea to felony DWI, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
He had been accused of DWI in July 2006 in the town of Brownville while driving a vehicle he did not have permission to operate. According to court documents, he violated probation by being charged June 20 with second-degree harassment, second-degree menacing, unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child as a result of a domestic incident.
Jacob W. Schroeder,18, of 119 Lewis Ave., Fort Drum, was sentenced to three years' probation, ordered to pay $180 in restitution and ordered to work four weekends at the PSB for an Aug. 27 guilty plea to fourth-degree attempted grand larceny. He was accused of stealing four tires and rims valued at $1,558 from James C. Force, Felts Mills, on June 11.
Christopher L. Edgar,33, of 20621 Slater Road, town of Hounsfield, was sentenced to time served and a one-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay $500 in restitution for an Aug. 18 guilty plea to second-degree criminal trespass. He was accused of entering a garage owned by Gordon Ward on July 5, 2007, on Washington Street in Watertown and stealing a wooden chair and chest, a grinding wheel, a sickle, a terra cotta planter and trowels.
Pelandro D. Baker,30, Watertown, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. Sentencing was set for Nov. 21. He was accused of selling cocaine in early March at his residence at 237 Central St., Apt. 4.
Tammy A. Spooner-Goult,39, of 126 McIntyre Road, Ogdensburg, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Sentencing was set for Nov. 21. She was accused of using a fake birth certificate and Social Security card in the name of Deborah L. Bean to purchase a $21,000 vehicle from Davidson Auto Group in the town of Watertown. Ms. Bean, Fairport, is her brother's girlfriend, according to court documents.
