Forums will be held in three St. Lawrence County communities to explain how $1.32 million will be used to improve low- and moderate-income housing.
The county Planning Office expects to improve about 14 homes in Norwood with $400,000 in federal funds. The county Housing Council is chipping in $35,000. County planners and council staff will give an overview, discuss eligibility requirements and explain how to apply at 6 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Norwood Library, 1 Morton St.
A similar event will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at Edwards Town Hall, 161 Main St. The $440,0000 project is expected to make improvements at 12 homes.
A forum will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Brier Hill fire hall, 2704 Route 37, to outline plans for a $445,000 project that's expected to improve about 12 homes in Brier Hill.
