ALEXANDRIA BAY — A Redwood man faces drug possession charges after being stopped for not wearing a seat belt on Cornwall Street and his mother faces a charge that she supplied some of the prescription medications to him.
Michael R. Eggleston, 47, of Route 26, was charged Saturday by state police with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and not wearing a seat belt.
Police said an investigation subsequent to the traffic stop revealed he possessed more than 25 grams of marijuana and several prescription medications, including hydrocodone, Ultracet and codeine.
Further investigation revealed that his mother, Sadie Garlock, 65, of 46797 Dingman Point Road, provided him with several of the pills, police said. She was charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He is to answer the charges in Village Court, while she is ordered to appear in Alexandria Town Court.
