HANOVER, N.H. — The St. Lawrence University men's hockey team had an answer for nearly every Dartmouth goal Friday night.

But the Saints had no chance at rebutting the Big Green in overtime. Sophomore Adam Estoclet scored with over a minute left in the extra period as Dartmouth edged No. 19 St. Lawrence, 4-3, in an ECAC Hockey game at Thompson Arena.

St. Lawrence (4-3-1 overall, 1-1-1 conference) recovered from deficits in the second and third periods to force overtime. The Saints lost for the first time in their last six games. Dartmouth (3-2, 3-1) has won three in a row.

"That was a pretty good hockey game," SLU head coach Joe Marsh said. "I was pleased with the way we battled back a couple times to tie it, but again it came down staying out of the box in key situations."

Dartmouth took advantage of a two-man advantage in the first period as sophomore defenseman Joe Stejskal netted his fifth goal of the season to grab the early lead. For Stejskal, an NHL draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens, it was his fourth power-play tally of the season.

St. Lawrence's undisciplined play continued in the second period with a pair of penalties on forwards Mike McKenzie (slashing) and Kevin DeVergilio (hooking). Dartmouth's Evan Stephens scored with just three SLU skaters on the ice.

Later in the frame, Saints senior Brock McBride connected for his team-leading fifth goal of the season to trim SLU's deficit in half. It was McBride's fourth power-play tally of the year. Senior defenseman Matt Generous followed with another goal more than two minutes later.

Dartmouth's Connor Shields put the Big Green ahead again as he deflected a shot past St. Lawrence goalie Alex Petizian with over six minutes left in regulation. The Saints received a second equalizer, however, from Massena native Aaron Bogosian with over a minute to go.

Before Estoclet's game-winner, Dartmouth goaltender Jody O'Neill denied a couple legitimate SLU flurries in front of the net early in overtime. O'Neill finished with 42 saves. Petizian turned aside 26 shots in his first career loss to the Big Green.
