LOWVILLE — Civil Service Employees Association members plan to rally Monday against 52 proposed job cuts in the Lewis County tentative budget.

The rally is to be from 4 to 5 p.m. at the county courthouse off North State Street, just prior to a special legislative session. Legislators at 5 p.m. in the second-floor legislative chambers are expected to discuss any formal changes to the tentative spending plan before adopting it.

The event's theme is "We'll Remember in November," a reference to the fact that all 10 county legislators are up for re-election next November.

"Over 1,000 CSEA members, families and friends live and work in Lewis County," states a flier announcing the rally.
