LOWVILLE — Lewis County residents interested in attending a pair of ceremonies Thursday at Fort Drum are asked to reserve a spot by early next week.

All county residents have been invited to attend a 10 a.m. volunteer recognition ceremony and a 2 p.m. redeployment ceremony for the 10th Mountain Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team in appreciation of contributions to soldiers through the county's Piece of the Rock initiative.

The Lewis County Veterans Services Agency likely will secure free transportation to Fort Drum that day. Anyone interested in attending is asked to call the agency at 376-5316 by Tuesday morning.
