On his show, Mayor Jeff Graham stated that there are not many socialites in Great Bend and Amy, a Channel 10 news reporter, should dress down when visiting places like Great Bend.

I am offended by this comment. I live in Great Bend, and I know there are people here who make more money than Mr. Graham himself. We have all sorts of professional people who live here. And even if we did not, who is Mr. Graham to judge? And if this is what he thinks about Great Bend because of one person, then what about his own city?

If I were to read the newspaper and base my opinion on Watertown, I should be dressing as pimps and crack addicts when I visit the city. Not many socialites in your city either, Mr. Graham. As a public official, you should know enough to think before speaking.
