Watertown native Mark B. Neveldine and his creative partner, Brian Taylor, have dropped out as directors of Warners Bros.' "Jonah Hex," a film adaptation of a DC Comics franchise.
Mr. Neveldine and Mr. Taylor, both of Los Angeles, co-wrote the script. Variety reported that their decision to leave directing duties behind was a result of "creative differences."
Josh Brolin ("No Country for Old Men") has been cast as the titular character, a bounty hunter and antihero with grotesque facial features.
Mr. Neveldine and Mr. Taylor last directed "Crank 2: High Voltage," the sequel to their 2006 breakout hit, "Crank." It is due in theaters April 17.
