■ The Watertown Daily Times will not be published Saturday, Independence Day. Publication will resume Sunday. The Times business office is closed today.
■ Fire broke out in an electrical transformer at the rear of Sam's Club, outer Arsenal Street, prompting a call for town of Watertown firefighters at 2:40 p.m. Thursday. The blaze was doused prior to the arrival of fire units, and people inside the store were reportedly unaware of the situation.
