Sad news Viggo Mortensen fans: You have to drive to Syracuse to see his latest movie, "The Road."

And it probably won't be coming to Watertown.

"Unfortunately the distributor didn’t keep their contractual agreement - their commitment to put it out in 1,200 theaters or more. They’ve only done limited release," Mortensen said in a voice mail message. "I don’t know of any plans for it to get here. I guess they’re just playing it extremely safe and seeing if it gets any nominations. That’s unfortunate for Watertown people to have to go to Syracuse."

"The Road" is a post-apocalyptic epic about a man (Mortensen) and his son (Kodi Smit-McPhee) trying to survive by any means necessary.
