When the Golden Knights head to Minneapolis to play in the Dodge Holiday Classic on Jan. 2-3 they will have an additional forward.
Martii Piispanen, a native of Finland, was recently cleared by the NCAA and will join Clarkson's squad for the second semester.
Piispanen, who is 20, is a 5-10, 183-pound forward and was the leading scorer for the Espoo Blues Junior A team in Finland.
“Martii will provide an offensive dimension to our lineup,” said Clarkson coach George Roll in a statement. “He is a highly-skilled player with good speed and playmaking ability. We have struggled to score goals this season, but we will look to Martii to provide a boost for us in that area.”
