The AHL All-Star Game takes place at 6 tonight in Portland, Maine and former Clarkson coach Mark Morris, now the Manchester Monarchs head coach, will be coaching PlanetUSA, which will face a team of Canadian stars.
Morris, now in his fourth year with the Monarchs, has his team in first place in the Atlantic Division with a 26-13-1-4 record, two points ahead of the Worcester Sharks. The Monarchs are the top minor league squad of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings.
Morris has enjoyed a successful run with the Monarchs, leading the team to its first playoff series victories in his first season, eventually reaching the AHL semifinals.
His overall record stands at 153-100-13-18.

Syroczynski Sent Down
Matt Syroczynski, who played at Clarkson for two years and ended his career at the University of Vermont, was recently sent down by Norfolk of the AHL to the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL, where he started the season.
Syroczynski played in 30 AHL games, scoring six goals with four assists. He has six goals and six assists in eight games with the Komets.
