Jenne helps Hammond to 2 OT victory

HAMMOND — Malynda Jenne's late-game plays helped Hammond rally in the second overtime period for a 53-52 victory over Hermon-DeKalb on Monday in a Northern Athletic Conference West Division girls basketball game.

Jenne, who finished with 17 points, five rebounds and three steals, hit two free throws with 11 seconds left in the second overtime to seal the victory. Earlier in the period, she struck for two 3-pointers to rally the Red Devils (13-1 overall, 8-1 league) from a six-point deficit.

Alyssa Crosby added 12 points for Hammond.

Brianna Sayer led Hermon-DeKalb (9-6, 6-3) with 19 points and added seven rebounds and five steals. Kelly Williams scored 15 points and Rochelle Whitton 10.

HARRISVILLE 46, LISBON 45

Patty Coloney delivered 34 of Harrisville's 46 points and scored her 1,000th career point late in the fourth quarter to lead the Pirates in Lisbon.

Taylor Wood's basket with four seconds remaining clinched the game for Harrisville (10-1, 8-1). Lisbon had a chance to tie the game with a player on the free throw line with two seconds left but couldn't convert.

Jaclyn Moore finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds for Lisbon and Aleashia Parmeter supplied 11 points.

MORRISTOWN 42,

EDWARDS-KNOX 30

Claire Plummer generated 15 points to lead Morristown to the victory at Morristown. Amanda Bertrand added 13 points and 15 rebounds for the Green Rockets (6-8, 3-6).

Lindsey Crosbie scored 10 points for Edwards-Knox (2-11, 1-8).

MASSENA 57, OFA 27

Caitlin Miller scored 18 points and Kristen McKeel 11 as the Red Raiders (6-5, 5-3) rolled to the Central Division victory over Ogdensburg Free Academy in Massena.

McKeel added 10 rebounds and Miller nine for Massena.

ST. LAWRENCE 41,

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 23

The Larries outscored the Panthers 7-1 in the first quarter of an East Division game, then put the game out of reachat Brasher Falls.

Molly McCuin netted a game-high 17 points to anchor the offense for St. Lawrence (6-6, 3-6). Autumn Irwin added 13 points.

Michaela Cole led Parishville-Hopkinton (0-10) with 10 points.

Erica Francis scored a team-high 13 points for Salmon River (9-6, 7-4) in an East Division game at Colton.

Sophomore Brianna Beaulieu led all scorers with 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Colts (2-12, 1-9). Chelsea Huyck tallied 13 points.

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 46,

Kelsey Manchester netted a game-high 13 points in a balanced effort in Brushton as the Panthers built a 24-12 halftime lead.

Haylea Gary added 12 points, all on four 3-pointers, followed by Chenice Russell with 11 for Brushton-Moira (13-0, 10-0).

CHATEAUGAY 47, ST. REGIS FALLS 25

Courtney Boyea scored a game-high 16 points as the Bulldogs took control in the first quarter of an East Division game at St. Regis Falls. Cindy Harrigan netted nine for Chateaugay (9-4, 6-4).

Krista Lucas paced the Saints (6-5, 6-4) with 10 points.

POTSDAM 45, TUPPER LAKE 35

Veronica Sapp's 15 points keyed a nonleague victory at Tupper Lake for the Sandstoners.

Tess Curry added 10 points for Potsdam (5-8, 4-4).

Carley Aldridge had 15 points and five steals, while Tayler Keniston provided 11 points, 14 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Lumberjacks (8-4).

Jason Heath scored a pair of goals to propel the Purple Ghosts to a Northern Athletic Conference victory in Alexandria Bay.
