Blue Devils make surge to claim win

OGDENSBURG — The Ogdensburg Free Academy boys basketball team used a second-quarter run to gain a 61-55 win over Massena in a Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game Tuesday night.

Gene Bouyer scored 29 points and had a career-high 19 rebounds for the Blue Devils (12-4 overall, 6-2 division), which outscored Massena 24-14 in the second quarter. Dave Crowder scored 13 points and made four free throws in the final 30 seconds.

Brady Condlin led Massena (12-4, 5-3) with 27 points and nine rebounds. He shot 10-for-10 from the free-throw line.

MALONE 46, GOUVERNEUR 39

Austin Dunlavey and Joey Tousignant each scored nine points to lead the Huskies (7-7, 4-5) past the Wildcats in a Central Division game in Malone. Lee French and Marco Carbone both scored 11 for the Wildcats (5-9, 3-7).

LISBON 49, HARRISVILLE 46

Eric Mehaffy hit two free throws with 20 seconds left to clinch the win for the Golden Knights (13-4, 11-2) in a West Division game against the Pirates in Harrisville.

Mehaffy finished with 11 points. Gavin Kiggins and Colin Baker lead the Pirates (7-7, 7-5) with 12 points.

HERMON-DEKALB 65, HAMMOND 54

Jon Peters scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to help the Demons (14-2, 12-1) clinch at least a tie of the West Division title with a win over the Red Devils in DeKalb Junction.

Logan Allen scored 11 and Chris Wentzel added 10 points for the Demons. Taylor Kenyon scored 23 points for Hammond (3-12, 3-9). Griff Stark-Ennis tossed in 14.

EDWARDS-KNOX 77,

MORRISTOWN 44

Simon White scored 15 points to lead the Cougars (9-6, 8-4) past the Green Rockets in a West Division game in Russell. David Bullock scored 11 points and Ben Fuller and Jon Davison each scored 10.

Nick Nugent led the Green Rockets (2-14, 1-11) with 21 points.

HEUVELTON 50, CLIFTON-FINE 30

Andrew Ross scored 13 points and Andrew Jackson added 11 to pace the Bulldogs (11-6, 7-5) past the Eagles in a West Division game in Heuvelton. Tom McCormick led the Eagles (1-14, 1-10) with 10 points, 13 rebounds and 10 blocked shots. Tim Fetterhoff added 11 points and 14 rebounds.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 59,

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 58

Jordan Kendall scored 26 points, including the game-winning basket in the final seconds, to lead the Yellow Jackets (11-5, 8-4) past the Panthers in an East Division game in Madrid. Alex Brock scored 11 points and Quinn Shoen grabbed 14 rebounds for Madrid-Waddington.

Josh Sevey led the Panthers (8-6, 6-5) with 21 points.

ST. LAWRENCE 74,

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 43

Camden Durant tossed in 22 points to lead the Larries (12-4, 10-2) in an East Division game in Brasher Falls.

Rylan Patraw added 12 points for the Larries. Eric Zellwegger scored 17 for the Panthers (0-16, 0-13).

SALMON RIVER 44,

COLTON-PIERREPONT 32

William Benko scored 24 points to lead the Shamrocks (3-12, 3-8) to an East Division win over the Colts in Fort Covington. Michael Reilly led the Colts (2-11, 1-10) with 13 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

CANTON 53, WATERTOWN 35

Tressa Goolden scored 13 points to lead the Golden Bears past the Cyclones (1-14) in a nonleague game in Canton. Amanda Dargie and Emily Rexford each scored 11 for Canton (5-8).

ST. REGIS FALLS 50,

ST. LAWRENCE 37

Krista Lucas scored 29 points and Aleesha LaBounty added 13 to lead the Saints (7-5, 7-4) past the Larries in an East Division game in St. Regis Falls. Autumn Irwin led the Larries (6-7, 3-7) with 15 points and Molly McCuin tossed in 11.

NORTHWOOD JV 5, MALONE 0

Ethan Foughner recorded two goals and one assist to lead the Northwood Prep School junior varsity team past the Huskies (2-12) in a nonleague game in Malone.
