OSCEOLA — A Rochester man was listed in critical condition late Saturday at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, after being hit by a snowmobile Saturday afternoon.

Lewis County sheriff's deputies said Gregory A. Muratore, 52, was struck about 4:30 p.m. on Potter Road in North Osceola.

Mr. Muratore was taken from the scene to a landing zone and then flown by an Onondaga County helicopter to the hospital.

Police said that Mr. Muratore had been ejected from his snowmobile while going over a series of moguls and then was struck by a snowmobile operated by Michael A. Perry, 52, Webster.

Mr. Perry was taken by ambulance to the Syracuse hospital; his condition was not known late Saturday.

Also responding to the scene were the Redfield Fire Department, town of Camden Ambulance Service and Northern Oswego County Ambulance.
