Mary P. Sherman

Mrs. Mary Potter Sherman age 69, Statesboro, died Wednesday, March 03, 2010 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Mrs. Sherman was a librarian having retired after 25 years of service. She was a member of Langston United Methodist Church, enjoyed crafts, playing computer games and knitting. She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton E. Sherman and long-time companion George B. Young.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws Carl and Diane Sherman of Blitchton and Steve and Tammy Sherman of Sackets Harbor, N.Y.; four grandchildren Annabell Sherman, Nicole Carpenter, Brenton Sherman and Steve Sherman, Jr. and great-grandchild Brecken Carpenter.

A memorial service will be held 2 PM Friday at Langston United Methodist Church with Rev. Fred Maddox officiating. Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Flandersmorrisonfuneralhome.com.
