POTSDAM — Adam Drypolcher scored three goals and added an assist as the SUNY Brockport men's lacrosse team spoiled Clarkson's home opener with a 9-7 victory Wednesday in a nonconference game.
It was the first game at Clarkson's new artificial turf facility.
Andy Hilton added two goals and two assists and Kenny Williams scored two goals for SUNY Brockport (2-0 overall).
Matt Cyr led Clarkson (0-1) with two goals and one assist. Matt McCabe, Bryan Huff, Evan Miles, Eric Gollands and Ryan Esposito also scored for the Golden Knights.

Jason Conde gave up just one earned run in five innings to lead the Saints (4-1) past the Merchant Marine Academy in a nonconference game in Fort Myers, Fla.
Ryan Fedo went 3-for-4, including a double, and drove in two runs for the Saints, and Ethan Braddock went 3-for-5 and drove in three runs.

BEARS DROP TWO
SUNY Potsdam lost two games on its spring trip to Florida on Tuesday.
The Bears opened the day with a 10-2 loss to Clark College and fell later in the day 7-3 to Bethany Lutheran. Dana Vollmuth homered for SUNY Potsdam against Clark, and Heidi Grebinger homered in the second game.
MORSE ASSISTS BENTLEY
Former Lowville athlete Chanelle Morse supplied an RBI single during Bentley University's 8-0 victory over Queens College on Tuesday in Clermont, Fla.
Morse is a sophomore catcher for Bentley, which evened its record at 3-3.

DURHAM FINISHES 18TH
SLU freshman Ashley-Kate Durham finished in 18th place out of 35 skiers in the giant slalom during the opening day of the NCAA Championship in Steamboat Springs, Colo. She finished the course in 1 minute, 58.41 seconds. The winner of the event was Eva Huckova of Utah, a former SLU skier.

SAINTS HEAD TO NATIONALS
Watertown native Eric Jones and Tupper Lake native Wendy Pavlus are two of four Saint athletes headed to the NCAA Division III Championship meet in Greencastle, Ind., this weekend.
Jones will compete in the 35-pound weight throw and Pavlus, who won the national title in cross country in the fall, will compete in the 5,000-meter run. Also competing is Alyssa Pirinelli (shot put and 20-pound weight throw) and Dan Ramsey (5,000).
