Hammond appoints 10 to wind advisory panel

HAMMOND — The town has appointed a 10-member Wind Advisory Committee.

Committee members are Lenny Bickelhaupt, Allan P. Newell, Fred Proven, Steven Saferty, Michelle McQueer, Richard Champany, Don Ceresoli Jr., Merritt Young, Ronald Papke, and Rudolph Schneider. Town Councilman Douglas E. Delosh will serve as an ad-hoc committee member, and David Duff will be asked to serve as committee facilitator.

The committee will recommend to the town board changes in laws regarding development of wind farms.
