I am disgusted by Bob Gorman's column, which slams everything that is pro-wind under the guise of an essay on ethics. He conveniently forgets to criticize any anti-wind factions even though their ethics are very definitely compromised.

How dare he suggest that Collene Alexander was hired because of who her husband is. Don and Collene Alexander are both very talented people who have always put the Northern New York community first. They have stayed in this depressed area all their adult lives even though their talents would have reaped a more profitable life for them elsewhere.

Mr. Gorman's reckless accusations prove that this newspaper and its owners have no regard for the welfare of the struggling people of this county, the people whose basic rights are being threatened by a power-hungry, self-serving few.

You who control the content of the Watertown Daily Times and carefully edit the work of your reporters should be aware that you have diminished your own market. Being the only daily newspaper here gives you power, but it also gives you responsibility to put forth all the facts on every issue. You have failed to do this, and that failure shows you to be unreliable as a newspaper.

I am a member of Voters for Wind. I believe wind power is a good thing. I do not own enough land for an industrial wind turbine, nor do any of my relatives.
