LOWVILLE — The Lewis County Youth Bureau Advisory Board is seeking organizations to apply for nearly $10,000 for programs designed to aid area youth.

It is anticipated that up to $4,329 in Youth Initiative Funds, which require a dollar-for-dollar match from non-state or federal money, and up to $3,253 in Special Delinquency Prevention Program money will be available.

The latter program does not require a match. The money is to be used for youths who are most likely to become involved in the criminal justice or social services systems.

An additional $3,500 will be available for programs that directly support positive youth activities.

For more information or an application packet, call Randall A. Schell at 376-5411 or Penny L. Demo at 376-5358 or write to Lewis County Youth Bureau, 5274 Outer Stowe Street Office Building, Lowville, N.Y. 13367. The submission deadline is April 23.
